After graduating with degrees in engineering from the “Ecole Centrale de Paris” and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Frédéric GARDES, 46, began his career in 1994 within the Bouygues Group as a Project Engineer at Bouygues Offshore.
From 2002 to 2011, he moved on to executive positions at Saipem where he headed a number of major international projects. In 2011, he joined the Colas Group as Chief Executive Officer of GTOI, a Colas subsidiary in Reunion Island.
Frédéric Gardes was then tapped to be Regional Manager for the Indian Ocean Area in 2013, then Deputy Managing Director in charge of activities in Northern Europe and the Middle East in 2015.
Since March 2018, he has been appointed International Managing Director of Colas Group, in charge of activities in Asia, Africa, the Indian Ocean, French Overseas Departments and Territories, North and Central Europe, and Middle East.
